I must say I had a near-death experience in December when I had flesh-eating disease followed by blood sepsis and multi-organ failure. I was completely in denial and only realized the trouble I was in after I was out of the ICU. Apparently, it was touch and go. Looking back on it, I'm now far more accepting of the concept of death. It's not that bad. You're here, then you're not. Rather like being knocked out on the operating table. At least, I hope it's like that.
